National Sportsmanship Day

The 29th annual National Sportsmanship Day, will be celebrated on Tuesday — March 2nd. Since it’s founding in 1992, NSD has been commemorated by hundreds of thousands of student athletes, coaches, sports parents, athletic admin, physical education teachers, professional athletes and others throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The theme of this years NSD is “Competitive Self Restraint” i.e. the practice of competing hard but maintaining self control.
The Basketball Bugle and the NEBHOF enthusiastically endorse NSD and urge readers to engage student athletes of all ages in a thoughtful discussion of the many benefits of competitive self restraint.
If March 2nd doesn’t work due to COVID, please hold the discussion at some point in 2021
